Experience

Emily is a clinical psychologist who is passionate about working with children and families experiencing difficulties such as anxiety and parenting issues. Emily completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at the Queensland University of Technology, and has also completed a Bachelor of Arts Psychology, with honours, and a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies. Emily is passionate about early intervention and believes that children and families bring a variety of strengths to therapy. Emily’s approach to therapy focuses on building resilience and providing children and families with skills to assist them throughout their lives.


Emily has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, hospitals and university clinics. She has experience working with children with anxiety and is trained in delivering intensive treatments for anxiety disorders such as obsessive compulsive disorder. Emily has also been a volunteer for the StepUP foundation, a not for profit foundation aimed at promoting self worth, empowerment and educating children about the possibility for their futures.

Emily can provide support in a number of key areas including: 

  • Enhancing emotional regulation and emotional awareness

  • Fostering self-esteem and assertiveness

  • Enhancing social understanding

  • Assisting parents in implementing positive and effective parenting strategies to manage difficult behaviours

Emily has a young family and works at our Mount Gravatt East clinic on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
