  • Thorough assessment and advice in the following areas:

    • Sensory processing and self-regulation skills

    • Fine motor skills, including handwriting and scissor skills 

    • Mealtime skills and eating

    • Toileting 

    • Functional assessment – a wholistic assessment of a child’s dressing, mobility, eating skills, toileting and sleeping. This assessment is often useful for NDIS access and goal development. 

    • Play skills, including the development of imaginary play and interactions with peers.

    • Assistive Technology advice and prescription

Experience

Margo Wratten is an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years experience and whose clinical experience covers a broad range of children with disabilities. She has worked with children with many diagnoses including learning disabilities, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, hearing impairments, seizure disorders, congenital and metabolic disorders, Down’s Syndrome, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia and Developmental Delay.

Margo is passionate about helping children to reach their potential through effective collaboration with families. She believes strongly in collaboration with families and other professionals. In order to develop effective working relationships Margo works closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide effective work practices. Margo has presented numerous presentations and workshops to parents and other professionals and has a strong interest in sensory processing and the impact on anxiety and behaviour in children. 

Margo consults at the practice for assessments and some treatment sessions on Thursdays at our Bulimba clinic.
