Experience

Nicola is a registered psychologist who completed her Masters of Counselling Psychology at the University of Queensland. As a psychologist, she is warm, genuine, and curious and enjoys creating a supportive and inclusive therapeutic environment for all clients. Nicola is passionate about working collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to make meaningful changes, and she focuses on developing a safe and trusting therapeutic connection to support individuals in navigating their unique experiences. Nicola has experience working with children and young people with various presentations in community organisations.

Nicola utilises an adaptive approach to therapy, primarily drawing from therapeutic modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and is informed by attachment and family systems theory. Nicola is committed to working from a neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed approach that values clients' expertise in their own lives.

Nicola sees clients at our Bulimba clinic on Mondays and our Mount Gravatt clinic on Wednesdays and facilitates our Autistic Girls Art and Craft group on fortnightly Saturdays at the Mt Gravatt East clinic.
